This print i( 18 x 24 inches on archival paper ) s a tribute to Magda Ramirez Casteneda. She was a Chicana activist in Chicago for decades. There is now a street named after her in Pilsen , and her life story is told in her own words in a chapter in the book Chicanas of 18th Street . I made the first edition ( on the left ) in the first week that she passed and used her poem that was on the memorial notes. The new edition i( on the right ) s a little bit similar and a little bit different. ! Presente !
