This is a hand carved print and then screen printed on to 18 by 24 paper. It is part of the series about the Empire Zinc Strike in 1950 in Hanover, New Mexico. Many people know of this historic strike where the women continued on with the 15 month picket line when the men were no longer able to due to an injunction. This strike was portrayed in the movie Salt of the Earth .
